GSC EVENTS SUMMARY 2008


I took over as Events Coordinator around April 1, 2008.
At that time the only regularly scheduled event was Friday afternoon parties for the girls with DJ Jolt providing music and an informal voting procedure for guest and girls to “IM” their vote for favorite girl.

The “Slave Auctions” had fallen off for uncertain reason an as I had not participated in them when I first started coming to GSC and there was no discussion at that time about reinstate them at that time.

Attendance at the Friday parties was sporadic prior to my taking over and had been poorly attended for the last 3-4 weeks.
Initially the parties attendance at participation picked up with a regular hostess again and notices prior to the activities notifying girls of the event.

Due to problems tracking votes for girls and some complaints of possible “favoritism” in the voting I made the decision to invest in a formal contest board as used in most clubs to ensure the contest would be held objectively.

Response to the parties was very good and attendance by the girls was high and we had several regular guests/customers that would frequently contribute to the prize and tip generously. This raised the stake in the contests as the prizes increased dramatically.

This had a several effects, attendance was high but also the expectations were also raised of the girls attending. We have also now have had several of the more wealthy clients have dropped off in their attendance and contribution to the parties, in spite of attempts to recognize and reward contributors with special titles. Some due to the economic problems in RL and a couple finding other interests or becoming involved in more committed relations. Also we began getting outsiders visiting and joining in the contests.

This increased party attendance dramatically with up to 30-40 persons attending on good weeks. This however created another problem with the girls that work here becoming jealous of the girls that were able to get a lot of their friends in to vote for them.

Another problem developed with erratic reliability of the DJ at the time as Jolt would not show up sometimes without notice and eventually stopped coming in at all even after discussing this with Lolita and myself and assured we wanted him to continue.

In response to the fall off in contribution to prizes most have that expense has been absorbed by myself, with occasional additional contributions.

In response to the Cherry18 girls concerns about outside competition in the parties we introduced the Wednesday “Hump Day” parties which only the Cherry18 girls may enter.
In response to the DJ problems I have booked another DJ, Katt Milner, who has been very reliable and appears to be well received as her selection of music is more eclectic than our prior DJ and she also takes requests which the girls and guests like. However this has also added an additional cost to the events as it costs 1000 lindens to have her DJ each events (which is standard for and decent DJ in SL).

The goals of the Events are to:
1.Stimulate interest and attendance by the Cherry18 girls by providing some fun activities.
2.Stimulate customer interest and attendance by providing a fun and interesting forum to present the girls to current and prospective customers.
3.Stimulate traffic flow.

Current plans to achieve these ends
1.Continue the currently scheduled parties as long as they are sustainable.
2.Bring back the *Slave Auctions* day and time as yet open as we need an auctioneer and identify times for greatest participation by girls.
3.Booking of “Special” music venues.
4.Advertising of events via the SL events calendar.
5.Solicit potential “backup” hostess from current roster of girls or target hire.

Quick Registrar Notes

1.Greater selectivity in hiring targeting girls that are attractive, more firmly committed to the theme of GSC, are more reliable and honest in paying 15%.
2.Who is in charge? (if anyone) and the role they actually play so there will not be miscommunication or unintentional offenses.
3.Keeping our “lead girls” happy. As they provide high quality of service to customers and provide role models to newer girls. (Lyllith and Candi come to mind)
4.Escorting classes to further orient and train newer girls.
5.Focus of school should be a fun place for girls to come and hang out AND make some lindens. If girls are here and having fun the customers will come.

Technical issues:
Decrease lag
More space. In lieu of a bigger site for the school. Possibly an annex site for some of our private facilities that could still be teleported to (there are teleporters that will cover long distances).
