...is an honor given by the Governess on behalf of the school to a most dedicated and outstanding Cherry18 of the year. Even tho there are a few people (you know who you are) who really EQUALLY share the honor of selfless toil and over-all improvement of our SL home, we would like to recognize one annually who deserves a special thank you. The first GSC "Cherry on Top!!!" melted our hearts in 2008 and we are proud to call her our friend and sister. Please join us in dropping to our knees and chanting "we're not worthy... we're not worthy..." up to Cherrylicious Doobie (that is the best way to see up her skirt.)

Why an Annual Report for GSC???
This is our opportunity to start a regular press for GSC to teach basic skills, share information and highlight current issues. Building history, building tradition, sharing what we have learned and getting different views so we can work together and live together.

GSC A Brief History
THE GIRLS SCHOOL CLUBHOUSE opened in late September of 2006 in the Eunpyung region the only place in SL for schoolgirl roleplay. There was another school at that time but it was a public school (by the American definition) and GSC was created a private school for girls. Our amazing investor William (my first true friend in SL with whom i met my first SL love) began paying tiers just from his heart tho he never used the land and i think i even got a bit of a crush on him.

We always had a large crowd, even tho the land was just 1024 sqm and all our stuff was freebie, because we had a policy of welcoming everyone regardless of their fetishes unless they caused trouble on the parcel. Our security was basically me (Lolita) banning ppl if i could do it fast enough and we were a favorite target for griefers.

A few of our friends wanted to escort so we allowed them to (asking nicely for them to pay 15% into a tip jar) but mainly the land was just for us nerds who played SL 18 hours every day to hang out and be naughty. In 2007 we relocated the school to a 4096 sqm parcel in the Montserrat region for a short time and then again to our now famous (infamous?!) little 10,736 sqm home in Yongchon.

Over the year 2007 our escorts started getting more serious and made requests that I as owner of the land also take their SL jobs seriously, so we started banning freelance escorts, hired only the best of the best, pulled a team together to manage the club, and began dreaming up ways to market the school. When LL adopted a new policy of censorship based on the prejudices of a few European governments, GSC was on the verge of closing down on principle against hypocrisy, but too many lovers of GSC united and saved the school from destruction. We became Cherry18 GSC at that time. But that is another story... one of many crazy but true stories!!!

This is such an incomplete history; the whole story is quite an epic tale lol. We have watched ppl learn English as a second language here, we have supported a gift shop, we have battled hard competition, we have seen weddings and truly heart-wrenching break-ups, we have danced a hundred dances and made love a million times, and kissed literally tens of thousands of lives! 2008 has been a year of huge change and growth for us, as you will read, and we hope you hang around for the future which can only get curiouser and curiouser...
